Visit to the Historic Wineries of Vulture

A) Lavello – Venosa
From Lavello, the route will take you to the discovery of the beautiful town of Venosa located 15km from the Resort. You will start with a nice descent and the curves of the former Rendina Dam, then continue on the former State Road 168 passing through the charming Sanzanello church, before reaching the splendid city of Horace, with the Archaeological Park, the Church of the Holy Trinity, the Aragonese Castle, and the museum. A simple but beautiful route for the landscapes you’ll traverse.

B) Lavello, Venosa, Ginestra, Ripacandida, Rionero, Rapolla
Starting from Lavello, you will arrive in Venosa passing by the beautiful Sanzanello church. After visiting the charming city of Horace, you will continue to Ginestra, a small Albanian village. From Ginestra, you will move to Ripacandida, with the beautiful Sanctuary of San Donato and the garden of San Francesco, as well as a visit to the honey museum and the spa. From Ripacandida, you will move to Rionero in Vulture, the hometown of the Brigand general, Carmine Crocco, with the Brigandage Museum and any visits to wineries. From Rionero, you will move to Rapolla with its beautiful cathedral and the characteristic Urban Park of the Wineries. From Rapolla, you will return to the hotel in Lavello. A route of medium difficulty due to the elevation changes, suitable for experienced cyclists.

C) Lavello, Rapolla, Melfi, Monticchio, Rionero
From Lavello, you will move to Rapolla, a Vulture town with a beautiful cathedral and the Urban Park of the Wineries. From Rapolla, you will move to Melfi, a medieval town with the enchanting Castle dominating the village, the archaeological museum, the cathedral, and the wonderful crypt of Santa Margherita. From Melfi, you will move to Monticchio Lakes, an uncontaminated oasis surrounded by lush forests and mineral springs. After visiting the lakes and the lovely Abbey of San Michele, you will move to Rionero in Vulture, the hometown of the Brigand general, Carmine Crocco, with the Brigandage Museum and any visits to wineries. After Rionero, you will return to the hotel passing through Rapolla. A route of high difficulty with many elevation changes, suitable for professional cyclists.
