A new star shines in the province of Potenza: it is the one assigned to Don Alfonso 1890 of the San Barbato Resort Spa & Golf in Lavello (PZ) by the Michelin Guide.

Alfonso Iaccarino, his wife Livia and their sons Ernesto and Mario have brought to San Barbato the same philosophy and the same passion that have made Don Alfonso 1890 one of the most important restaurants in the world and a temple of hospitality.

The coveted and prestigious recognition comes at the end of a difficult year for the restaurant and hotel sector and for this reason it takes on an even more important meaning.

“It is a great honor for me to have brought the Star to Lavello – says Antonio Liseno, owner of the San Barbato Resort Spa & Golf. We like to think that it is the result of doing well, of unreserved commitment, of passion and constant search for quality but, above all, of great teamwork.

An unexpected gratification for a still young project in a territory that still has a lot to tell.

Donato De Leonardis’ cuisine uses typical products of the Bel Paese and Lucanian in particular.
