Franco Pepe is a modern craftsman with an ancient passion for pizza. His expertise is rooted in the experience of three generations of master bakers, further developed over the years, enriched by his passion and dedication to dough-making, which has earned Franco worldwide recognition. Franco Pepe is synonymous with quality and exceptional attention to a food of ancient popular tradition. He has twice been awarded the title of Cavaliere al Merito of the Italian Republic and is a global ambassador for the Mediterranean diet.

Since 2012, when Franco Pepe left the family’s Antica Osteria to embark on a solo journey in the heart of Caiazzo’s historic center, he has poured his desire for experimentation and his expertise as a passionate baker into Pepe in Grani, turning it into a true place of pilgrimage. Pizza, research, and hospitality: these are the three pillars that have contributed to a methodical and constant elevation of the set quality standards.
